Yew Tree Cottage, Tansley, dating back to the early 1700s, is a luxury cottage B&B close to Matlock town centre, in the Derbyshire Dales Peak District. Retaining its original quirky charm and character Yew Tree Cottage enjoys all the additions of modern comfort.
Three lovely ensuite bedrooms, tastefully decorated, including one super-king/twin suite, a king-size and one double all overlook the delightfully secluded south facing landscaped gardens and surrounding countryside.
The Award winning "Home Away From Home" - the AA - is provided by Teanie Dornan with a little help from her husband Richard in their well-appointed and beautifully furnished cottage containing a wealth of those little extras which help to make a memorable visit.
Having moved to Yew Tree Cottage in 1977, shortly after they were married, Teanie and Richard opened Yew Tree Cottage for Bed and Breakfast in 2004. A local couple, offering great hospitality, they they have an extensive knowledge of the area and can offer excellent advice on all aspects of a visit to the Dales and Peaks - if asked!

Yew Tree Cottage offers splendid walking country, in the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales, straight from the door. Chatsworth House (approximately 10 miles), Haddon Hall, The Heights of Abraham, Hardwick Hall and other outstanding attractions are all within easy reach as is the Tissington Trail for cycling or walking.
Yew Tree Cottage is situated in the centre of the village and only a few minutes walk away from a Sri Lankan Restaurant and 2 pubs serving good quality food.
